7. Where to Get Help

7.1 Specific help and advice is available from the Equality and Human Rights Commission, which brings together the work of the Commission for Racial Equality, the Equal Opportunities Commission and the Disability Rights Commision (0845 604 6610).

7.2 Other organisations provide information and guidance on a wide range of employment and industrial relations matters.

  • The Employers' Forum on Disability aims to make it easier to recruit and retain disabled employees (020 7403 3020;).
  • The service provided by Acas is free, confidential and impartial (08457 47 47 47).
  • The Stationery Office can provide various codes of practice (0870 600 5522;).
  • The National Mediation Helpline can provide information on how mediation works and put you in touch with a mediation provider (0845 60 30 809;).
