Can you get financial assistance for staff training?

Small Business Ad

Although staff development need not be an expensive activity, it can incur costs such as course fees as well as the time lost to the business when releasing staff for training. There are several sources of assistance to help you to meet these costs.

  • The Learning and Skills Council, Education and Learning Wales and LECs in Scotland provide a range of grants and incentives to encourage staff training.
  • Individual employees can obtain Career Development Loans to assist in paying for training that will further their careers. You can get information about this from your high street bank.
  • Your local Business Link will be able to provide advice on other sources of funding that are available in your area.
