The Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulates the marketing and promotion of all stakeholder pension schemes, including any occupational type schemes that are set up as stakeholder pensions by employers. This means making sure that the information given about schemes is clear and not misleading.
The FSA's web site, www.fsa.gov.uk has sections on stakeholder pensions as well as a range of personal finance products and issues.
The FSA also has stakeholder pension decision trees for the employed, the self-employed and people who are not working. These give information and take individuals through a series of questions about their circumstances. They are designed to help people make their own decision about whether a stakeholder pension is the right choice.
