How do I start exporting?

A range of advice and support for firms considering or starting exporting is available including:

  • UK Trade & Investment has a self-assessment checklist for new and inexperienced exporters and detailed information on potential export markets and partners, research for international markets and steps in getting your process right. It also contains a database of exporters and sales leads on-line
  • Similar information is available through the UK Centre for Excellence in Exporting
  • Your local Chamber of Commerce
  • Your local Business Link adviser

There are various ways to enter export markets and factors to consider.
