Small firms looking to boost their IT skills are being urged to take advantage of a range of training courses, available from IT firm Econsultancy.
Under the Government’s Train to Gain scheme, businesses can apply for up to £1,000 of grant funding to cover the cost of these courses. The first £500 of grant support does not require any contribution from the employer, and a subsequent £500 is available if match-funded by the business.
To qualify for funding, businesses must be based in England and employ 5-249 people. Training costs are usually reimbursed within four weeks of attending the course.
“Our courses take a hands-on approach so that attendees are armed with practical ideas to implement on their return to the office,” said Econsultancy training director Craig Hanna. “If you and your organisation meet the eligibility criteria then this really is a no-brainer - there aren't any catches.”
