Small businesses have been called on to enter the Private Business Awards 2012, which celebrate the most successful UK private sector organisations.
Sponsored by global professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and backed by HSBC Private Bank, the Private Business Award 2012 categories include:
Two new categories for 2012 include the Rising Star of the Year — which will champion vision and growth — and the Exporter of the Year — which will celebrate a growing presence in overseas markers.

The nominees will receive exposure in regional and national PR campaigns, while the winners will profiled on the Private Business Awards website, as well as on the key sponsors’ websites — PricewaterhouseCoopers and HSBC Private Bank.
In looking for the overall winner, the Private business of the Year, the judges aren't necessarily looking for the biggest business but they will be looking for the best.
The judges are looking for private business that are successful and will be taking into consideration how they have been successful, why and when they have had business success plus the judges will also be accounting for the inspiration shown by the business, any business innovation, the business strategy and whether the business has considered and covered aspects of sustainability.
The deadline for entries is 13th of April 2012 and the winners will be announced on the 6th of September 2012.
